The International Advanced Informatics Tournament (IATI) “John Atanasoff” will be held from 17th to 20th April 2024 in Shumen. The competition coordinators are Shumen Municipality, Konstantin Preslavsky University of Shumen and A&B School. The tournament is under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the Rector of the Konstantin Preslavsky University of Shumen Prof. Natalia Vitanova, Dr. Habil.
477 students from 17 countries have registered: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Egypt, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Pakistan, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. The children from Russia, Belarus and Tatarstan will compete under a neutral flag.
IATI is the only international computer science competition in two age groups: junior – for students up to 15.5 years old and senior – for high school students. They will participate in a hybrid format ( in-person and online). The Competition days are 19th and 20th April. The awards ceremony is on 20th April at 7 p.m.
